Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent cheerleaders when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments this year and maintains position 461 in AJGA standings.
But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior person. He advised me to compete, relax, following the flow."
Kai will face several top competitors in the sport at the Annika, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially with the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own fashion and living company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
