British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital follows the global fight fans shared its support for the fighter in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
